Today Indra Nooyi announced she will step down as CEO of PepsiCo. Nooyi is one of the most prominent women to lead a Fortune 500 company. The 62-year-old led Pepsi to become one of the most successful food and beverage companies in the world. Sales grew 80 percent during her 12 year tenure. Nooyi has been with Pepsi for 24 years. She will step down as CEO on October 3 but will stay on as chairwoman of the Board of Directors until early 2019.
