Remember before the protests started, stories about coronavirus had been dominating headlines for months.
What about now?
Health experts say containing the spread of the deadly virus is still top priority.
But only time will tell if the mass gatherings around the country will result in a spike in cases, especially since most of protesters are wearing masks either to protect themselves from the virus or to shield their identity.
We do know that officials in Los Angeles have temporarily closed coronavirus testing centers because of safety concerns caused by the riots.
On Saturday President Trump postponed the annual “Group of Seven” or G7 summit of world leaders.
It was scheduled to start at the end of June but now because of coronavirus concerns, the meeting has been pushed back to September.
Also on Saturday New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law a bill increasing death benefits to the families of medical staff, police officers, transit workers and other public employees who died from Covid 19 while on the job.
Cuomo says is the least he can do to say “thank you, we honor you and we remember you.”
