We have an update to a story we told you about Monday.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has agreed to hold an inquiry into the global response to the coronavirus pandemic after the European Union and Australia calls for an investigation.
This comes after 100 countries joined together pushing for an independent investigation into the COVID-19 pandemic.
The European Union drafted up a resolution and presented it to the WHO calling for an impartial, independent investigation.
Tuesday the resolution was agreed upon.
The resolution doesn’t single out any individual country but a number of nations, including the US, have accused Beijing of withholding information about the virus, which was first detected in Wuhan, China, in late 2019.
Beijing is defending its handling of the outbreak.
And Monday Chinese President Xi Jinping said he supports calls for an investigation into the handling of the pandemic but insisted that any inquiry should wait until the virus is contained.
