A US soldier could face 20 years in prison for distributing instructions on how to make a bomb.
On Monday 24-year-old Jarrett William Smith pleaded guilty to distributing the information on social media.
That’s according to the US attorney’s office in Kansas, the state where Smith has been stationed.
He joined the Army in June 2017 and in July 2019, Smith was transferred to Fort Riley.
During his time there, that is when he gave out instructions for how to make explosive devices on social media.
Smith is scheduled to be sentenced May 18.
