Every year this is what millions of eager shoppers look forward to the day after Thanksgiving: standing in line waiting for the store doors to open for Black Friday shopping.
This image was taken outside a mall in Connecticut.
However according to retail experts, the excitement over Black Friday has diminished in recent years.
Although it’s still very important to stores and they believe it will still be a good holiday for business.
According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), consumer confidence is high and unemployment is low, which tends to equate to more spending during the holidays.
And because there are six less shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, retailers got the deals and sales going early.
Some shoppers are taking advantage of the in-store deals while others are waiting for Cyber Monday.
What about you?
Do you get excited about Black Friday?
I didn’t do any Black Friday shopping today because my flight just landed and I came straight to work.
