An Alabama man becomes the 17th death in the country tied to lung disease from vaping.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports 805 confirmed or probable cases of lung injury associated with vaping in 46 states.
Alabama will likely be added to that total when the CDC updates its numbers this week.
On Tuesday, health officials had each confirmed a vaping-related death in Virginia and New Jersey.
Officials say while the current outbreaks are still being investigated, the safest option is to refrain from using e-cigarette or vape product.
