A new list reveals the United States is one of the worst performing countries at dealing with the pandemic.
Foreign Policy Magazine released the Covid 19 global response index this week.
Out of 36 countries, the US landed in 31st place.
The US got low marks for its lack of testing and the limited amount of funding spent on emergency healthcare.
The government received its lowest score for “fact-based communication.”
Foreign Policy Magazine describe the US as relatively weak in that category, stating “it has engaged in misinformation as much as any country in the index.”
Who came in first place?
New Zealand came in at the top of the index with a perfect score 100.
