Covid deaths rising in the U.S.
Transcript
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, deaths from Covid 19 are rising throughout the US.
More than 4.2 million Americans have been affected since the pandemic began.
More than 147,000 people have died.
The US reported more than 1,000 deaths again on Monday.
It’s the fifth time in the past week the daily death toll has surpassed 1,000.
Twenty-nine states reported more deaths in the past week than in the previous week.
And on Monday during an interview with CNN, Dr. Anthony Fauci gave a grim warning about the coronavirus outbreak.
He said the US could see tens of thousands of more deaths.
But he says is there still time to avoid that.
And the solution lies in what he and other health experts have been stressing for months: avoid crowds, social distance, wear masks, close bars and thoroughly wash your hands.
