Nearly 1 out of every 100 Americans has tested positive for Covid-19.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the US has recorded more than 3.3 million coronavirus cases and over 135-thousand Americans have died.
Globally 12.9 million people have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Experts say infections could be around 10 times higher than what is reported, as many go untraced.
And according to the CDC, nearly 40-percent of Americans who were infected show no symptoms.
At least 35 states are seeking a rise in new cases, as the average age of new cases shifts downward with many more young people testing positive.
Meanwhile the White House is criticizing the nation’s top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci.
In a statement Saturday a White House official told CNN that “several officials are concerned about the number of times Dr.Fauci has been wrong on things.”
The move isn’t a surprise following news that President Trump and Fauci are no longer speaking to each other.
Fauci has publicly corrected Trump after he made several misstatements about the virus.
