We want to warn you some viewers may find this video disturbing.
President Trump is facing outrage after he tweeted a conspiracy theory Tuesday about an elderly man who was injured by police last week during a non-violent protest in Buffalo, New York.
Video shows 75-year-old peace activist and volunteer Martin Gugino being pushed and staggering backward before landing on the pavement, where blood pooled around his head.
That other officers stepped around him.
One appears to begin to help but is guided away by his colleague.
He’s still in the hospital.
Trump took to Twitter saying it may have been a setup and that Gugino could be a member of far-left activist group Antifa.
He included zero evidence to back up his claim.
The White House refused to comment.
At least one Republican Senator, Mitt Romney, criticized Trump’s tweet.
And New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called on the president to apologize.
Two officers were suspended after the incident while an investigation is underway.
57 more have resigned from the police unit.
