A senior CDC says the Trump administration will not implement the agency’s draft recommendation for reopening America.
The 17 page document gave more detailed suggestions beyond the guidelines last month.
The new guidelines included specific suggestions for schools and churches.
It was the Trump administration itself that requested the recommendations but a senior CDC official said last night it was clear the White House would not implement them.
The source said “we are used to dealing with a White House that asks for things and then chaos ensues.”
A White House administration official said CDC leadership had not seen the document before it was leaked.
White House task force members decided the draft was too specific given the different situations in each state.
The White House says it wants individual governors to lead the reopening effort of their respective states.
