A lot of things are changing in our day-to-day lives at this moment and people all over the globe are looking for ways keep their families healthy and safe.
But what about our pets?
There’s a lot of misinformation floating around about whether pets can contract coronavirus.
Multiple health organizations have already stated that pets and animals are not at risk of contracting covid-19.
However they can carry the virus on there fur.
The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) says it’s very unlikely a person would contract the virus by petting or playing with their pets but make sure you bathe your pets and wash your hands after petting them.
The AVMA also advises people who have contracted novel coronavirus to limit interactions with their pets out of an abundance of caution.
For example if you walk your dog you may want to figure out alternative routes that are not populated with many people.
