On Thursday the campaigns of President Trump, former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders all instructed their staff to work from home.
The Trump campaign said its Virginia office will undergo a deep cleaning through Monday.
The Biden campaign says staff have the option of returning to their permanent residences and will facilitate their travel home.
The Biden campaign will also close its offices but says it will stay active and organize voters through phone banking, texting and holding virtual events.
The Sanders campaign says it will no longer hold large events or door-to-door canvases, instead moving to digital platforms and outreach wherever possible.
