With more than 85,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus around the world, preparations are underway in school districts across the US to prepare for the impact.
Many schools already have plans in place for contagions.
Right now many schools are giving out information to students and parents basically educating them about the risk of coronavirus, which still remains low, and also reminding them of good hygiene practices by washing hands, covering up a cough and sneeze and staying at home if a child is sick.
However some school districts are planning for the more severe possibility of shutting down schools if necessary.
School officials are pulling together 200,000 laptops, tablets and study packets to give to students if they have to learn online from home.
Experts say colleges and universities could be more vulnerable because they have large populations in very close quarters and a lot of students and faculty travel overseas to study or teach.
But many of those study abroad programs have been suspended and some are scaling back or canceling large gatherings on campus like sporting events and concerts.
