Meanwhile, preparations continue today (Friday) as the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan plans to allow certain passengers to disembark the quarantined ship.
Of the 3,700 passengers and crew, 219 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed.
Since February 4, the ship has been under quarantine protocol.
A Japanese vice minister for health visited the ship today to reassure passengers and crew of the government’s intentions to ease their current predicament.
The Japanese Ministry of Health is currently arranging for passengers to be transferred to government facilities, although it is unclear just when this will happen.
