Coronavirus emergency declared in U.S.
The lethal coronavirus is now a health emergency in the United States.
California confirms it now has the seventh case of Wuhan coronavirus.
New quarantine and travel restrictions are set to begin for both American and foreign travelers beginning February 2.
US Secretary of Health and Human Services chairman Alex Azar announced any US citizen returning to the United States who has been in the Hubei province in the last fourteen days will be subject to up to fourteen days of mandatory quarantines.
And any US citizen returning to the United States who has been in the rest of mainland China within the previous fourteen days will undergo screenings at various points of entry into the country.
The restrictions are even more tight for international travelers coming to America.
They will be denied entry into the United States.
All flights from China to the US will now be funneled into seven airports: Atlanta, New York’s JFK, Chicago’s O’Hare, Seattle, LAX and Honolulu.
The new travel restrictions are set to begin Sunday, February 2 at 5 PM Eastern time.
