Florida authorities are searching the state for a newborn baby.
On Tuesday police issued an Amber alert for one-week-old boy, Andrew Caballeiro, who was taken from his Miami-Dade County home.
The baby was apparently taken from a house where three women were Andrew’s mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Law enforcement officials believe Andrew’s father, 49-year-old Ernesto Caballeiro, took the baby.
On Wednesday police in Pasco County found his vehicle about 300-miles away from the victims’ home in Miami.
The van was not far from Interstate-75 in Blanton.
Shortly afterward they found Caballeiro, dead from a shotgun wound.
Police said they found a newborn’s pacifier inside the van.
They’ve also spoken to a witness who says a blonde woman was in the van with the baby’s father.
Police have searched for Andrew with helicopters and bloodhounds and at this time there are no signs of the baby.
Anyone with information on the baby’s whereabouts is asked to contact the authorities.
Pascoe County Sheriff Chris Nocco says the witness is working with investigators to get a sketch of the woman seen in the van.
Once it’s complete, Nocco says it will be released to the public.
