20-year-old Tennessee man, Spencer Boston, was arrested after smoking marijuana while in court on a marijuana charge.
On Monday Boston was in court in Wilson County facing a simple marijuana possession charge.
As he stood to face the judge, he began expressing his views on why marijuana should be legalized.
He reached into his jacket, slipped out a marijuana cigarette and lit it.
Boston got in several quick inhales before he was detained and escorted out of the courtroom.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and simple possession of marijuana.
The judge also held him in contempt of court, jailing him for at least 10 days.
His next court appearance is scheduled for April 14.
