Jones is the player who partnered with Pampers to help install 5,000 changing stations in public restrooms across the US and Canada by 2021.
Jones posted “Everything we do from here on out will be with you. Whenever we have a bad day, we will think of your smile. We miss you already buddy and will forever love you. Rest peacefully our sweet baby boy. You have gained your wings.”
Jones did not reveal the cause of death however.
The Detroit Lions played their last regular season game on Sunday.
Jones and his family were there on the sidelines.
