Police searching for Doordash porch pirate caught on camera (ASL – 12.20.19)

Police in Berkeley, California released video of a DoorDash food delivery employee stealing several packages after dropping off food.

It happened at an apartment building on Haste Street in Berkeley.

The building’s lobby is outfitted with surveillance cameras and they captured the porch pirate’s brazen crime.

It shows a driver, a woman, dropping off the food.

Before she leaves, she waits for the perfect time for the lobby to clear out.

She then loads up at least seven packages into a plastic postal bin, carries them to her car and takes off.

Clearly this wasn’t the smartest porch pirate on the block.

Not only do police have a surveillance video, the DoorDash customer has screenshots of the delivery status and texts from the DoorDash app, including the phone number and name of the suspect, Cheyenne.
