The Harvard-Yale football game was delayed Saturday after students and alumni flooded the field in a mass protest.
Harvard was beating Yale 15 to 3 during the game the New Haven, Connecticut when more than 100 people ran into mid-field as half-time was ending.
The game was delayed for nearly a half hour until they were escorted off the field by police.
The protesters are calling for both schools to divest their endowments from fossil fuel companies.
One student held up a banner that read “Nobody wins. Yale and Harvard are complicit in criminal injustice.”
Yale students are also demanding the school to pressure hedge fund managers to cancel any debt from Puerto Rico, as it still struggles to recover from the devastation of hurricane Maria.
A Yale University spokeswoman said the school supports freedom of expression but it does not “allow disruption of University events.”
CNN reached out to officials at Harvard for comment but haven’t heard back yet.
