Delta uniforms will now include sign language pins (ASL – 7.30.19)

Delta Air Lines announced that its in-flight crewmembers’ uniforms will now indicate whether they know sign language.

Company officials say Delta is the first US airlines to officially offer sign language as part of their customer experience.

The pin is a result of customer feedback, an advisory board on disability and the company’s disability business resource group.

Company CEO Ed Bastian says the goal is to make travel easier for all people.

He says it’s a small step but a powerful change to make the world a more inclusive place.
