A sign posted to memorialize the Emmett Till civil rights case in Mississippi was vandalized for the third time.
This time a professor from a nearby university found the sign pierced by bullets.
The cofounder of Emmett Till’s memorial says this is the second time the sign is been found bullet holes.
Prior to that the sign was stolen.
Till was only 14 years old when he was brutally lynched after being falsely accused of flirting with a white woman.
The memorial sign is posted at the spot where his body was pulled from the Tallahatchie River in 1955.
Two men were arrested for the murder but were acquitted by an all-white jury.
The Justice Department announced last month it is reopening the investigation based on new information from an earlier witness.
