Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says all elementary through high schools will close starting Monday, March 2 and will remain shut until the end of the month.
Hong Kong has closed schools through April and organizations rolled out work-at-home policies.
Saudi Arabia has announced measures to prevent the entry of the coronavirus by suspending entry into the country for the purpose of completing a religious pilgrimage to Mecca or to visit the prophet’s mosque.
The Kingdom also suspended entry to people with tourist visas for people coming from “countries in which the spread of the new coronavirus is a danger.”
The world is still waiting to see how Japan will handle the upcoming 2020 summer Olympics.
While Japanese officials say the idea of canceling or delaying the games is just speculation, IOC member Dick Pound says all options are being considered.
