A hurricane warning has been issued for parts of the Gulf Coast as tropical storm Marco makes its way to the US.
The warning is in effect for parts of Louisiana and Mississippi.
In New Orleans a tropical storm warning has been issued and a hurricane watch remains in effect.
As of Sunday morning tropical storm Marco has sustained winds of 70 mph.
The storm is forecast to become a hurricane by the time it hits the Gulf Coast on Monday bringing with it life-threatening storm surge and heavy rainfall.
Landfall is expected along the Louisiana coast Monday afternoon.
The National Hurricane Center is also warning of tropical storm Laura which is expected to bring hurricane conditions to many of the same areas next week.
