Democrats prepare for an unconventional convention
Transcript
The 2020 Democratic National Convention begins tomorrow (Monday).
But there will be no large crowds or mass gathering of delegates, no balloon drops and no in-person speeches.
The event will be 100% online.
Typically the event lasts for four hours and includes lots of speeches from various speakers.
This year the program will be shortened to two hours spread over four days, Monday through Thursday.
Big names are scheduled to be there: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and a host of others.
There will be musical performances.
Of course Biden and Harris will officially give their nomination acceptance speeches as well.
