Parents we know with only weeks before some schools are scheduled to reopen, you are stuck in limbo as the White House and health officials spar back and forth on whether it’s safe to reopen schools.
Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be a reopening agreement in sight.
Despite pushback from President Trump, the CDC says the agency is holding firm to critical guidelines it set to safely return students to the classroom.
Those guidelines include barriers in classrooms, students learning in staggered or rotating shifts, smaller class sizes and banning students from mingling outside the classroom.
Yesterday Trump said the guidelines were too tough and expensive but White House officials have struggled to say exactly what Trump had a problem with.
Also during an interview with NexStar media, Trump insisted that if kids in Denmark, Norway and Germany can go back to school, then America’s children must too.
However critics point out those countries are not experiencing raging peaks of the pandemic like the United States.
