If you have a ticket to President Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma next weekend, the date has changed.
This is Trump’s first rally since the pandemic.
Initially the campaign rally was set for June 19.
That led to a lot of controversy and criticism because Tulsa is a city known for a race massacre 99 years ago that left hundreds of black citizens dead.
June 19 or Juneteenth is also the day many African-Americans and states celebrate the emancipation of slaves.
Trump announced on Twitter that he is now delaying his campaign rally in Tulsa because of Juneteenth.
He tweeted that his African-American friends and supporters asked him to change the date and out of respect for the holiday, he has moved his rally to Saturday, June 20.
Trump has also repeatedly claimed he’s done more for the Black community than Abraham Lincoln.
Trump says more than 200,000 people have already requested tickets for the event.
