We spoke with CNN reporter Darryl Forges last night.
He gave us an up close look at the level of destruction in the city.
Well Jethro when it comes down to it we seen a spread out when it comes to protesters here in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You can see the damage here behind me. You can see the buildings that caught fire earlier this week. You can still see the fire down there. But we’re also seeing if you look across the street over here with me right here by the police precinct, you can still see people going inside the police precinct with bats and bricks just continuing to cause damage. At this point we have not really seen any law enforcement since 8 o’clock. That’s when the curfew was issued here in Minneapolis by the mayor. And since then no one has really abided by that. We haven’t seen law enforcement since then. They did have some teargas earlier. They spread out but at this point we haven’t seen. But the biggest thing right now are going to continue to see this throughout the night because of protesters say they are going to continue to do this until all four of the former police officers are in custody. In Minneapolis, Minnesota I’m Darryl Forges for Sign1News.
Thank you Darryl.
