President Trump is donating this quarter’s salary to the Department of Health and Human Services to develop new therapies for treating and preventing Covid-19.
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany made the announcement at a press briefing on Friday as she held up Trump’ss $100,000 paycheck.
Since taking office, Trump has donated his salary to a variety of government agencies and efforts including the Surgeon General’s office, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
This is the second time Trump has donated his quarterly salary to HHS for the departments work on Covid-19.
In March, he donated his salary for the final quarter of 2019 as well.
Trump’s annual salary as president is $400,000 a year.
