The airliner crashed in a busy residential area near the airport.
The airline CEO says 99 passengers and crew members were on board.
At least 76 bodies have been recovered from the wreckage but investigators are still determining if the bodies were from the plane or from the neighborhood where the plane crashed.
Investigators have not released any details about the now missing American.
