36,000 people have now died from coronavirus across America.
And as governors figure out how and when to reopen their states, President Trump says it will happen soon for some.
In Texas some businesses could begin to reopen in late April with restrictions but schools will remain closed.
And since the timeline is not unified across the country, the governors will likely do it very differently depending on their region.
If you recall earlier this week Trump unveiled a three-part plan to reopen the country.
However many governors say the plan does not address a national testing strategy.
Before reopening, a number of governors are pushing for help from the federal government for testing.
Trump lashed out at states, telling them to expand testing on their own.
Trump said as of Friday, 660,000 tests had already been distributed.
Several governors say in their states that is not the case.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said his state would not be able to fully reopen without federal help.
Before Cuomo had even finished speaking, Trump commented in a tweet, telling Cuomo to “spend more time doing and less time complaining.”
Trump also embraced protesters in three states who rallied against their governors’ stay-at-home orders.
Trump tweeted Minnesota, Michigan and Virginia should be “liberated.”
Political analysts note all three states have Democratic governors and are considered battleground states in the 2020 presidential election.
