The US has largely been on pause in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak.
But some people can’t work from home even during the crisis.
The CDC has new guidelines for essential workers whose lives could potentially be in danger.
Truck drivers are among the “essential employees” whose responsibilities haven’t changed much, if at all, during the pandemic.
Truck driver Andre Nunn says drivers are “responsible” for keeping the country going.
To help keep essential workers safe and get asymptomatic workers back on the job, health officials have issued new recommendations.
The CDC is asking employers to assess workers.
They say employers should take employees temperatures before they go to work and send them home if they’re sick.
Workers should also wear a mask at all times and practice social distancing.
The CDC also says they do not want workers sharing objects that could be touching their face or gathering in crowded places including break rooms and lunchrooms.
