The CDC now says that as many as one in four people infected with coronavirus could be walking around with no symptoms and transmitting it.
Officials say social distancing is helping slow the spread of the disease but it has some people wondering should they start wearing masks too?
Opinions differ.
The World Health Organization stands by its recommendation that only people who are sick or taking care of someone sick should wear masks.
But the White House and the CDC are re-reviewing whether people should wear masks or not, according to the nation’s top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Dr. Fauci stresses he doesn’t want this to affect masks for hospitals across the country.
The White House task force met to discuss the issue Tuesday.
Meanwhile in Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic now require everyone to wear a mask in public.
On Tuesday 800 new coronavirus deaths reported in the US, the most reported deaths in a single day.
According to a CNN count, there are more than 186-thousand confirmed cases of coronavirus in the US.
