As confirmed cases of coronavirus continue to soar, many patients are not at the hospital but isolated at home.
Family members face the challenge of caring for them while trying not to get sick themselves.
It is a difficult task but health experts say there are steps you can take to protect yourself.
Start with keeping the infected person isolated from other family members.
Keep everyone away from the room, keep them away from their clothes, their betting, utensils, plates and anything else they touched.
Be sure to wash all utensils, plates and clothes separately.
Home caregivers as well as their patients should wear a mask when interacting with each other.
However healthcare experts say home caregivers also have to take care of themselves during the ordeal by listening to music, reading or finding another person to talk to to offload your anxieties.
Basically do anything that relieves the pressure and makes you happy.
