When the annual choral festival in San Bernardino County, California was canceled due to coronavirus concerns, a group of high school choir singers decided to use technology so the community could hear their voices anyway.
19 students from Chino Hills high school recorded their individual parts to the song “Over The Rainbow.”
They sang alone and on camera.
Then an editor took each students’ part and spent 36 hours weaving the harmonies together so it sounded like one big choir.
A school official said she was inspired by seeing residents in Italy singing together from their balconies to boost morale.
