On Thursday the US State Department issued a Level 4 advisory to all US citizens for international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19.
That’s the highest possible level.
The State Department warned Americans saying, “If you choose to travel internationally, your travel plans may be severely disrupted, and you may be forced to remain outside of the United States for an indefinite timeframe.”
The State Department is also asking Americans abroad to arrange for immediate return to the US.
The advisory warns that Americans who are outside the country may need to be prepared to stay there for an indefinite period if they do not arrange to come back immediately.
