As the number of coronavirus cases continue to rise, officials say expect to see more closings of schools, venues, large gatherings and travel restrictions.
On Wednesday (Yesterday) the NBA announced it’s suspending its season “until further notice” after at least one player tested positive for the coronavirus.
Health officials say these steps are necessary to help prevent the coronavirus from spreading even faster.
Also on Wednesday, the NCAA announced that fans are not allowed to attend it’s March Madness tournament as a precaution.
Meanwhile, President Trump is suspending travel to and from Europe for the next 30 days.
These restrictions don’t apply to American citizens who have been screened, or to travel to and from the UK.
The State Department also raised the worldwide travel advisory to Level 3: Reconsider Travel.
It’s an official warning against nonessential trips abroad.
