On Tuesday morning, the Dow opened 850 points higher.
Today (Tuesday) is arguably the second-most important day of the 2020 election season so far.
It’s “Super Tuesday 2,” and six states are holding primary elections today, but one state is drawing extra attention.
Michigan, which has hundred 125 pledged delegates, is the biggest contest of the day.
Here’s why…
Last month former Vice President Joe Biden’s big win in South Carolina basically kept his presidential hopes alive.
And he has also gotten endorsements from two former candidates, Senators Kamala Harris and Cory Booker.
And now on Super Tuesday 2, Senator Bernie Sanders pretty much needs to pull a big win in Michigan to give his campaign fresh momentum, a state Sanders narrowly won in 2016.
According to recent polls, Biden is ahead of Bernie in the state.
But it’s worth noting Michigan polls before the 2016 primary were inaccurate.
The other five state taking part in Super Tuesday 2 are Washington state, Idaho, North Dakota, Missouri and Mississippi.
