Senator Ted Cruz says he’ll self-quarantine for two weeks, after interacting with a coronavirus patient.
In late February the Republican from Texas attended the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
An attendee of that conference has tested positive for the coronavirus.
And, Sentor Cruz unknowingly interacted with that person.
Cruz says the interaction consisted of a “brief conversation and a handshake.”
Criz says he doesn’t have any symptoms.
But, he’ll stay isolated Texas for two weeks just in case.
On Sunday Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar also announced he will go into isolation after interacting with the same individual at the CPAC.
The congressman says he is not experiencing any symptoms but is taking these steps “out of an abundance of caution.”
