Face masks and respirators are being used around the world in an effort to combat the massive global spread of the deadly coronavirus.
A respirator covers at least the nose and mouth and protects against particles including infectious agents.
The CDC cautions that facial hair can interfere with those devices.
CDC info-graphic displays dozens of styles, showing which ones are compatible with masks and respirators.
Side whiskers, handlebar mustaches, and several others are okay.
Things like goatees are also okay, with caution.
The CDC says styles such as full beards are not recommended.
