Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa issues statement on Instagram

Kobe Bryant’s wife is reaching out to the millions of people mourning the loss of her husband and daughter.

On Wednesday Vanessa Bryant posted this statement on Instagram.

It’s her first post since Kobe and 13-year-old Gianna were killed in a helicopter crash Sunday.

She posted, in part, “There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon.”

The grieving wife and mother also reached out to the families of the seven others killed in the crash, saying she and her children “share in their grief intimately.”

Bryant told fans who want to support the victims’ families that they can donate to the “Mamba On Three Fund.”
