Remember this video from earlier this week.
That’s a Delta jet dumping 15,000 gallons of fuel across six schools in Los Angeles.
In a statement earlier this week, Delta Air Lines said the dump was part of normal procedure to reach a safe landing weight.
The Federal Aviation Administration says that situations like this, air traffic controllers typically direct planes to a less populated area to dump the fuel.
There were reports of minor injuries as a result of the fuel dump and the affected schools have since been cleaned and declared safe.
But on Friday a group of Los Angeles teachers announced they are suing Delta, accusing the airline of negligence and are demanding compensation.
The attorney for the teachers say the Delta pilot was specifically asked by air-traffic personnel if there was a need to dump fuel and the pilot said no.
The teachers involved in the lawsuit say they were coated in jet fuel and their students, who thought it was raining, looked up and started screaming and crying when their eyes and skin started to burn.
The teachers say they have been nauseous, had difficulty breathing and are emotionally distressed after being exposed to the fuel.
