Earlier this month 5-year-old Taylor Rose Williams was reported missing and on Monday her remains were positively identified.
Taylor was reported missing in Jacksonville, Florida by her mother Brianna Williams on November 6.
The sheriff’s office said Williams stopped cooperating with police two days later.
Officials expanded their search to include rural Alabama, where Williams is from and has friends.
Remains were found on November 12, which we now know are Taylor’s.
Williams was charged while being hospitalized for an apparent overdose.
She has since been released from the hospital is in jail on child neglect charges and giving false information to law enforcement.
She’s being held on a $1.1 million dollar bond, and is due in court in December.
Authorities haven’t released the cause of death yet.
