Update: More teens face gang assault charges in stabbing (ASL – 9.29.19)

We have an update to a story we brought you two weeks ago.

Police say eighteen-year-old Tyler Flach stabbed sixteen-year-old Kahseen Morris multiple times in the chest.

However according to police, the fight involved nearly 50 teens who planned and likely targeted Morris as a result of an ongoing dispute over a girl.

Morris was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The fatal ambush was witnessed by dozens and shared on Snapchat.

Flach was arrested and pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges.

But on Saturday, just as Morris’ family was laying him to rest, authorities announced seven more people will be facing charges in connection with the brutal attack.

Five are teens who are being charged as adults and two others are being charged as juveniles and have not been identified.

All seven face charges of gang assault.

Police say more people could face charges as the investigation continues.

In California, the Santa Barbara zoo says its last elephant was euthanized after a series of health issues.
