Odessa victims remembered, shooter identified (ASL – 9.2.19)

A vigil was held Sunday night in Texas for the victims of the Odessa shooting rampage.

Seven people were killed and twenty-two others were injured Saturday night.

Those killed ranged in age from 15 to 57.

A seventeen-month-old baby girl was listed among the injured.

Law-enforcement officials say thirty-six-year-old Seth Ator went on a 20 mile shooting spree from Midland to Odessa.

A LinkedIn page under his name says he’s a truck driver.

But the New York Times is reporting that he was fired from his trucking job just hours before the shooting.

Ator was later killed by police in a gun battle in a local mall parking lot.

It’s still unclear why he went on the shooting spree.
