According to the National Weather Service, two hurricanes are bearing down on Hawaii.
Hurricane Erick, the larger of the two storms, is already a Category 3 storm.
It is not expected to make landfall but parts of Hawaii could see increased wind gusts and rain and strong swells are expected to cause dangerous surf along the eastern and southern coast over the next 48 to 72 hours.
Hurricane Flossie is not far behind Erick.
Flossie is a Category 1 storm and may take a more direct path toward Hawaii.
Forecasters say Flossie could become a Category 2 storm by Friday but it’s not expected to impact Hawaii until next week.
