Two weeks ago Hurricane Hector passed through Hawaii.
The storm brought mostly high surfs and rip tides.
Now hurricane Lane is threatening to impact Hawaii this week and this time the impact may be much more significant.
Right now Hurricane Lane is a category 4 with maximum sustained winds of 150 miles per hour.
Forecasters say it poses a threat to life and property.
It could bring record-setting damage due to tropical-storm force winds, mudslides, flash floods and pounding surfs.
Hurricane watches have been issued for Hawaii and Maui counties.
More watches and even warnings could be necessary for additional islands as the storm moves closer in the next 24 to 48 hours.
We will keep you posted.
