President Trump is shaking up his re-election campaign.
Trump has demoted his campaign manager Brad Parscale and promoted Bill Stepien to take his place.
Trump said on Facebook Parscale will keep his role leading digital and data strategies and be a senior adviser to the campaign.
Parscale has been facing criticism for several weeks.
Invanka Trump and Jared Kushner were reportedly furious with Parscale for a smaller than expected crowd at Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma last month.
Parscale promised it would be a 100-thousand person event but it attracted only a few thousand supporters.
The announcement comes at a time when Trump is behind former Vice President Joe Biden in national polls.
According to a new Quinnipiac University national poll, 52-percent of registered voters say they’ll support Biden in the general election, with 37-percent going for Trump.
A poll released Wednesday by NBC/Wall Street Journal found Biden with 51-percent support among registered voters over Trump’s 40-percent.
Stepien and Parscale were both a part of Trump’s 2016 campaign.
Stepien also worked for John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign and George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election effort.
