The Senate passed an extension of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
The move came Tuesday night, extending the PPP to August 8.
The program provided aid to small businesses struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.
The program was set to expire Tuesday with more than 130-billion-dollars in allocated funds that remain unused.
Now businesses have the chance to apply for the remaining billions in emergency relief loans.
But some businesses say the loans are short-term fix and they won’t be able to survive if the pandemic continues.
